IUB EEE Students and Faculty Explore Industrial Motor and Turbine Repair Facility

On June 1, 2024, a group of IUB EEE students and faculty visited the industrial facility of RotoTech Bangladesh Limited, provider of services for repairing industrial-grade motors, alternators, and turbines, at Birulia in Savar near Dhaka.
The IUB team included Professor Dr. Khosru Mohammad Salim, Director of the Green Energy Research Center (GERC); Mohammad Rejwan Uddin, Research Associate at GERC and Adjunct Faculty at IUB; and two research students associated with GERC. Mr. Mahmudul Hasan and Mr. Abdul Aziz, the CEO and MD of RotoTech respectively, gave very brief overviews of their work.
The visit paved the way for industry-academia collaboration, offering students the opportunity to gain knowledge about large-scale equipment.
RotoTech Bangladesh Limited also offers rotor rewinding and turbocharger repair services. The company aims to provide high-quality service based on solutions, development, and cooperation, delivering results promptly without time restrictions.
